I have silver pheasants, and last year and until now this year, they have not been sitting on their eggs, ive been collecting them, but a few days ago i noticed that my older hen had begun to sit on the nest, and i was rather excited. But now it appears that my rooster has begun sitting on them too. I was just wondering if this was normal or if i should be worried. This is him on the eggs, there are currently 4 he's on.

interesting, i never knew they would do that. i assumed only the females did

Alright, ill let them sit on them. I'd just never heard of the roosters sitting on them either so i didnt know if i should be concerned or not.

When I had Silvers years ago, I had a male sit on a nest two years in a row. The one year the hen laid another clutch and hatched them out as well.
