I haven't heard the 2 syllable sound at all from my two guineas so I have assumed they were both male. They look pretty similar in head, but one has more coloring than the other. They're about 8 months old.
BUT, I have noticed my chicken Roosters "mating" with one of the guineas quite a bit (like whenever the chicken hens aren't in the mood)
So, despite the lack of the "buckwheat" sound, could I still have a female?
Or are my 2 roosters just jerks?????

It is possible that you have a female. I suggest that if you have not heard the difference in sound you may very well have all one sex. I had 7 guineas and never could hear the 2 syllable sound. I gave up and bought more. The new ones made a totally different sound. I had originally purchased 7 males.
