males have not started courting or mating yet. Is this normal.

I hatched some ringneck pheasant eggs over the summer and this will be their first year breeding. is it normal that they have not started yet? Is it just because they are young? When should the hens start laying?

Do you have them all in together?The males should be displaying to the hen,if not ,they will be very shortly.Laying depends on your climate.Here in N.H they don't start to lay until late March or early April.When they start to lay you will have plenty of eggs.How many males and females do you have?Are they all in together?
