malformed quail

My quail have been hatching yesterday and today. Today I had one just hatch that seems to have a tumor on his head... I've read about unabsorbed yolk sacs, but this isn't that. Any chance that this little guy will make it? Is it suffering? Poor little chick, all of its mates have been perfect so far.

Poor guy. It is doubtful he will make it, however, there is always a chance!
Deformities occur in all animals, they can't always be prevented.

I had an araucana hatch like this years back.
It lived a few weeks but it was not all there.
Eventually natural selection did its thing.
