So, I know that male mallards bills change to the bright yellow like a Pekin duck... but at what age do they start changing? My mallards are about 5 weeks old (ish...) and are still peeping, not quacking, but one of my pekins is quacking and is a week ounger thanmy mallards. I'm trying to determin if I should just chalk it up and rehome 2 of the ducks because they are male, or wait it out a while longer.

I really need some advice! Please help. :(

1. Do NOT be alarmed yet. It took awhile for me to voice sex my mallards. I think they might be slower maturer.

2. For the change of bill color it's been forever since I've raised babies but i didn't seem to happen for quite awhile

I sure hope you're right... I feel so bad when I think about having to rehome any of my daughters pets. :-(
