Mallard duck laying eggs again...

I've just purchased a mallard duck family. Only one week after hatching a clutch, she is back to laying again. Is this normal? It won't be too taxing on her system? Would it be better to artificially incubate the eggs?

Chickens do the same thing. I do not think it is to taxing. She would not be laying if she was not ready, strong enough to do so
