Mallard ducks

I have 2 Mallard ducks, one of them we got a few months ago now attacks my young goose as soon as he sees it and chases it from the dam and is very aggressive, all are male birds. Its middle of winter here in Australia, do you think its just the breeding season as he is in full color. I might have to give him away and get a young duck to keep the other one company and I only want males.

Honestly I would rehome or cull the aggressive drake. I find aggression tends to get worse not better once the breeding season rolls around so it would be best to solve the issue early on.
