Mallard Hen Started Laying Then Stopped? Why?

Mimic is 5 months old and a Mallard. We were so excited because three days ago she laid her first two eggs. One was stepped on but the other we enjoyed for breakfast. But, she has not laid another egg since. Is something wrong with her? I thought they laid an egg a day. Thanks for your help and for sharing what you know.

Mallards do not lay very much compared to other ducks, but she may start again.

If it is very hot where you live, she will take a break and start laying once it cools down.
