mallard laying weird

i have a mallard hen and a male mallard well i have 2 pairs of mallards and one of the hens is laying a egg every 3 or 4 days she did stop for a hole week or 2 i have decided to let her sit on her egg well she layed a egg yesterday and she has not layed a egg today is this normal should i take the eggs until she lays a egg a day or will it be fine until she gets a clutch
