What is better for breeding ? I have read that rougens and mallards do not lay Alot of eggs but are considered meat birds. But rougen ducks get much bigger then mallards .

I also want to second the lack of Rouen broodiness. The closest my girls get to being broody is tucking their dear eggies in by covering them up with bedding (while making the sweetest little quacks) before ditching them for the day while they go foraging. They are lovely ducks, however, with half-way decent laying abilities, assuming they don’t have reproductive issues.

You forgot that they are really really fetching birds… both hims and hers.
