I was thinking about getting snowy mallards and flying grey mallards. I already have 2 ducks and like 15 chickens with food and grain available at anytime. I was wandering if you think they would stay around... I do live on a farm with a pond like 100 yards down the road

Usually, Domestic Mallards will only fly off if they are being kept in poor conditions or feel unsafe with their home, however, if you don't clip their wings its almost a guarantee they will fly around your property and get into mischief.

@Isaac 0 they would be kept in like a 300 ft X 150 ft pasture, but the problem is if, they want to fly with wild ducks, and if I’m too late for clipping wings, and they fly away when I try to catch them

Never had a problem with mine flying off with other wild ducks, they don't seem too interested with them. Clipping their wings is usually only needed once or twice a year, just clip their wings once they go into their pen at night.
