mallard with a hurt leg!

i found this poor mallard and im wondering how to help it its down at a pond that is close to me and im trying to catch it and bring him here so i can treat him he walks on it and he eats and everything it doesnt appear broken but he hangs it when hes standing there like it hurts, he limps and gets tired from hopping so he just sits down for a little bit what could this be maybe a sprain? or what?

hes fairly easy to catch ive actually caught him but i also accidently let him go
