When chicks are ready for the world but your adopted mama, who hatched the eggs is an old english game bantam who is not ready to let you grow up..they are 9 or 10 weeks now. And well, the forage, fly, integrated, but shekeeps a close eye, attacks anything if they get too close, and goes after the chicksif they dont behave..not sure if the chicks having it rough or mama🚁👩‍👧‍👦

She's a good Mama and a keeper!
She'll cut them loose when she's good 'n ready 🤣 And when she does, those "independent young'uns" will complain for days that she's left them🤷‍♀️
I've had broody hens brood chicks for 3 1/2months or maybe a little longer, but I've also had them cut chicks loose at 2 weeks too.
