The vet said the cast was good and leave on 21 days. If you have experience in this could you give me tips? I'm afraid her leg will get stiff.
I figured y'all are more hands on..gonna have to invest in McDonalds strawsI would think your vet knows best, but since I do not know much about ducks, I will tag someone who might help— @Miss Lydia

They said gently massage too so I will have to remove cast for that. I'll go back Monday and chat some more. What a precious duckling. I agree the vet should know best, just watch for swelling and her foot feeling cold they grow so fast the cast might get to tight before the 21 days are up.
Above the knee.between knee and shoulder. Closer to the knee. I guess that's what they are. Anyway. I noticed some swelling and shortened the straw to fit there and soft wrapped it. Her foot is warm. I heard about a sling to keep their weight off of but cannot find one to go by. I tried cutting a sock but the little booger slipped out. Let me take a pic. My vet's daughter and I text a lot. I'm thankful for that. Let me take a picture. Her foot was drawn looking before I put the first cast on. It straightened right out. Still straight with the second cast.Where’s the break? That’s a good idea to talk with the vet.
The straw is shorter than the tape .I'm wondering if I should line the straw?Where’s the break? That’s a good idea to talk with the vet.
I'm also thinking a piece of female Velcro wrapped with flex wrap..soft yet sturdyWhere’s the break? That’s a good idea to talk with the vet.
I saw this..maybe I shoul cut the down off and do this.Where’s the break? That’s a good idea to talk with the vet.
