Mandarin Ducks????

I posted in the duck forum but I think maybe here I'd get more specific help. I have 6 Pekins and I'd like to find a different breed to have a little bit of a variety in the type of ducks I have and while searching through google I found a picture of a beautiful colorful duck know as the Mandarin. I instantly fell in love. I have done some research about these ducks but I figure what greater place to get advice than here with people who have them. I live in northern New York(basically Canada) so not to many people around here know about them or have them. I'm really interested in these ducks so any information would be greatly appreciated. So thank you in advance

Well you can't put them in with any of your domestic ducks and they would need their own covered avairy. They nest in about ground boxes and only lay one maybe two clutches a year of eggs..
