Mandarins

I was about to post the same question. Did you get a reply? I was willing to buy from one of the online tores but they're pinioned, and I have a problem with intentionally, permanently, disabling an animal. I'm open to any suggestion or recommendations.

I suggest you get a juvenile pair in the fall. Their eggs are hard enough to hatch, plus shipping takes its toll on them.

I just wanted to let you know that I bought mandarin eggs off ebay, they got here in perfect condition and I lost all of them. They developed perfectly, air cell was where it should be, had movement, I had my temp and humidity spot on (using three different thermometers and hygrometers) and I lost them all on day 32. They completely developed, but then they never absorbed the yolk and died on day 32. I put some runner duck eggs (from my ducks) in at the same time I did as the mandarins and they hatched perfectly along with a goose as well. I also purchased peafowl eggs and none of those hatched either. Just from personal experience and to prevent someone else the heartache of spending the money only to lose them, I would buy juveniles. I definitely learned my lesson and will never buy eggs off ebay again.
