Maran, maybe it's NOT a roo!

I have 2 Marans, one Birchen and a Blue Splash. The BS is def. a roo. It's comb is much bigger in comparison to all my chicks, and it's turning red already. So if they're BOTH Maran, wouldn't they both have the same comb development by now? I have a Welsummer roo too, same kind of comb development as the BS. But the Birchen...not much comb development at all, and matches the other girls...can I hope? Could it be a girl??

Almost 4 weeks old here. I thought it was a he, because it was BIG when born, and wilder to hold.
