maran not laying

Hi i have a Maran hen who is not laying. She is way past the age when my Americaunes started laying, in fact, there are a few hens who are younger than her who are laying! We have her in a confined area so that I'll know when she lays, but it's been two weeks and I'm still not seeing any. She has artificial lighting so her days are about 8-9 hours long. Any ideas?..
Note: I say confined but she and her boyfriend actually have a lot of room. It's confined if you think of the fact that all my chickens have the run of our four-and-a-half acre farm.

All chickens mature at their own rate. Your maran is just taking her time to grow up. The other thing is that for light to work the lenght of day has to be around thirteen hours.
