Maran question

This might sound dumb but I just recieved some maran chicks and they have dark spots on their legs. I thought they were supposed to have white legs?

the females will have darker fronts to there legs at least mine do but they have a white background color.

Some of mine are feathered, too. In general, though, Marans legs are white to pinkish.

Also if you did not know, a single Marans chicken is called a "Marans" and not a "Maran".
