Maran x RIR question

I had 3 Maran X RIR chicks hatch yesterday. Two are basically solid yellow (a little dark spot on the back). One has a brown stripe down the back. These came from a Black Copper Maran Rooster and Rhode Island Red hens. My question is...are these colorings sex linked? If so, which is which? If not, why do they look different? Thanks!

Haven't done this cross, but when maling mutts not all are sexlinked and not all will look the same. Hope this helps
