Yup. Those red feathers in his wing bows give him away. I guess it's possible that it is a mossy female because the copper color seems leaked beyond the neck - but I'm pretty sure I see dark mahogany in the wings. Your pic is blurry. Part the wing feathers and look

Edit: and yes they can start crowing at that age. Mine mounted his sister and performed like he was born to breed at 6 weeks.
