Marans and Penedesencas

These are the last four we added to our flock this year. They're about 3-4 weeks old. The lady DH got them from she said that she hatched Black, Wheaten and Partridge Penedesencas, as well as Black Copper, Cuckoo, and French Cuckoo Marans. She also said she sexed them herself and that if we got a roo, she'd take it back and replace it for us. Secretly, my husband is dying for a roo and he's convinced the Partridge one is.

(my guess is Partridge Penedesenca cockerel)

(my guess, Cuckoo Marans pullet, no leg feathers)

(my guess French Cuckoo Marans, pullet? feathered legs)

(my guess, Black Penedesenca, please let her be a pullet!)

The others look like girls at this point.

Looks like you're going to have some lovely dark brown eggs this fall!
