We are getting a few Copper Marans and my daughter would like to take them to the fair. Are they recognized by the asp. If not we will have take something else. I did some searching and did't come up with much. Iam thinking no.
There have been a number of shows where Marans have been shown across the country and it will take another few years before the breed will be recognized.
If you contact the group, they have a form to give the show judges, to complete to help with this goal. I do not recall how many birds need to be shown per show for it to count towards that recognition.
To become recognised they do need to be shown. I would recommend that your daughter enter them as AOB (Any Other Breed), plus also some recognised bird that may be able to progress past BB.
