This is a blue marans chick the hen is a blue copper the rooster is a blue copper but all the pictures I have seen of these chicks don't have the color my other chicks have

Your picture is not showing up, but if you are breeding blue to blue, remember you can get blue, black, and splash colored birds from the same breeding.

You're right, that chick isn't blue copper. That's a (not great colored) black copper. Remember, blue crossed with blue does not always give you blue. Here are the genetics for you: http://maransofamericaclub.com/bluemarans.php

Also, are you absolutely sure of the mating?

I'm sure because I only had marans eggs under the hen unless somehow a welsummer egg got mixed up in there

Then I would guess that you have a black copper bird there. The people in the Marans breed thread would be the best people to ask for confirmation.
