Is there any way to tell the difference between Marans and PB chicks? My two chicks looked pretty much the same, but as time has gone by, they are definitely different from each other. One has practically no comb, the coloring is darker and more mottled (I guess the term is 'cuckoo'), her beak is different. I hate to say it, but she's just uglier than the other one (the PR is beautifully light barred, has nice red comb and wattle). The mystery bird also as a very different demeanor...she's much more aggressive...likes to nip my fingers when I feed from hand.
