I have been reasearching about Mareks after posting on here about my Plymoth hen limping for 3 days to now where she has no movement of legs at all, not able to stand or anything and very low weight!!!!!!!
Well this morning I went out to let the chickens out and found one of my rhode islands DEAD!!! She has not had any symptoms just as lively as all the rest of the chickens. Some of my hens do appear thinner then they should be now that I pick them up.....
My sick hen has yellow poop that is formed but a lot less after putting her on antibotics.
Does this dead hen and sick chicken sound like mareks!?!!?! I am at a loss of how they could of caught this. We have never had chickens on the land before, brand new coop, all the birds came to us from a hatchery.
IS there anyway to save the rest of my chickens?! I DON"T want to kill them all....
