Hi there! I have the sweetest black silkie that is about 4 months old. She started limping 3 weeks ago. I checked for bumblefoot, I felt all up and down her leg and did feel or see any injury. I put her in her own crate with food and water to make her rest. She is alert, eating, and drinking. Her limp is now worse and I see her laying down with her legs scissored. I don't see any other issue with her wings, etc. I'm so upset and afraid that it is Mark's disease, in which case my other 4 chickens have been exposed. None of my other chickens seem affected. They don't pick on her and mostly leave her alone. Any suggestions? Thanks y'all!

A video of her walking may be helpful - upload video to YouTube and provide a link.

What do you feed her?
You can try adding 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily to her feed to see if that makes a difference.

I don't know about your Silkie but I have a Splash Silkie that seemed to have broken her leg, I got all the roosters out of the pen so they wouldn't jump on her and it healed up on it's own.

I do have a young silkie roo about a year old. He doesn't seem to bother my young silkie hens that are about 4 months, but he does think he's the bees knees and goes after my cochin/ameraucana mix and my leghorn/ameraucana mix. Those girls aren't having it 😂

I can't remember the brand of feed at the moment, but it's organic pellets. I also give them organic food scraps and dried meal worms. I'll try the B-complex. I'm just really upset, she is the sweetest little girl and I love her! Here is a YouTube link of her (the black silkie) from about a week ago

The limp is worse now

She was worse for awhile and would barely get up, now she's hopping along with the leg behind her. I don't think it's Marek's at this point, but I still don't know what is going on! She's still alert, eating, drinking, and the others don't pick on her so 🤷‍♀️
