I have a decent size flock of 20 ducks and 30 chickens. All of my chickens are vaccinated. I had a lady ask if I would take her 2 Cochin bantam hens from her because she didn’t want chickens anymore. She bought both from a hatchery, and were her only birds. They are over a year old. I took them. I walked into the coop one day and one of them couldn’t really walk. I brought her home immediately and have been taking care of her for over 4 weeks. She eats fine, loves all the treats she gets, drinks and try’s to move around. It’s just her left side. Her wing, leg and foot. She hasn’t gotten worse or better. She’s definitely gotten fatter due to her lack of activity and breakfast in bed she receives. I previously had an over breeder rooster that I’ve since got rid of. That would chase my bantams down constantly to where they’d have to hide or run far far away. At first I thought this might be mareks, but nothing has progressed in the 4 weeks? So is it more likely she got beat up by a rooster 4x the size of her? None of my other birds are showing any signs of becoming ill. I currently have 50 chicks hatching this week, so I’m very nervous.

Edit to add: I got this chicken 5 months ago.
