I've heard chickens can eat the marigold flower but is the rest of the plant safe for them to eat? Just wondering because I got some marigolds and I don't want the plant to make them sick if they happen to eat a leaf. Thanks for your help.

A lot of folks plant marigolds for their chickens because they make the yolks nice dark orange. I don't think they will eat anything but the flower.

Thanks for the responses. I feel better knowing they likely won't eat the whole plant :) as a matter of fact only one seem to actually like the petals. She ate a few and that was it.
