I have just 2 Chukar (Partridge) chicks that hatched from a swap I did. I can't keep them, so they'll go to a swap event this coming weekend. But I don't know their market value. What would people willingly pay for week old chukars?
Thanks

Becca, Glad they hatched for you!!! Yea, $2.00 as day old and $.50 added weekly.. so if they are a week old, $2.50 is a good price For you and the buyer!

I got $10 each here in Ca, for 2 week old chukar, at the time I was doing a 10-bird mini.
I sold what I thought I wanted to sell, then decided to sell a few more . . .
Those ones I offered at $5 each with a 5 bird mini, sold 3 more bunches.

I have 150 more eggs due to hatch in a week and will do it all again.
I made some decent money on them, they arent offered "regularly", and people jump on them when offered it seems . . .

However, during the course of all this, somebody emailed me from CL and informed me that they usually only pay $8 per adult bird, I told them to go ahead and have at it, as I was getting $10 for 2-weekers . . .

I think this time around, Ill just offer them at $7 or $8 each to get them outta here quickly.

I guess its all about location!

Any BYCers that are interested in my chukars can get a good discounted price . . .
