I can't get a straight answer via an internet search but just looking at the 3 Basque chicks I recently hatched it seems to me that they are auto sexing. Take a look. I have two chicks that are similar in appearance with dark wings and an obvious "spot" on their head (meaning their heads are predominately dark with a light spot in the middle.) The third chick has light wings and its whole head is light feathered. Hmm?! Any one know if this is an Auto-Sexing breed?

* In this picture it is the bird in the middle that's different.

*In this picture the two top birds are the same, the bottom bird is different.

Did you end up being correct and were you able to test your theory on any subsequent hatches?
