Something knocked over my guinea cage and killed all my babies.... didn't eat them or anything, just left them there. A friend told us that it must have been a raccoon... poor little babies.

So, we are going to get a few more and leave them in the chicken coop...

OH NO! im soo sorry for your loss! the babies will be missed!

Coons would leave a bloody mess. The only thing I have had leave dead chicks behind without any sign of injury is a snake. But a snake wouldn't knock a cage over.
Is there a chance they got chilled or wet after the cage was knocked over?

They look like they were attacked.. missing feathers, some blood...it was in the barnyard and there is quite a bit of grass out there.

I know it is hard to walk out & find that sight. Twice coons have gotten into my adult pen. We now have sheet metal buried halfway down in all our pens & runs. It goes about 18inches below the ground & 18inches above. That was a long weekend of digging but coons got 1 pen then a wk later hit the pen on the other side of my property.
At first I thought you were saying they were just dead, since none were eaten I didn't think there was blood, so sorry. I hear marshmallows & peanut butter work wonders to catch coons. May want to set some traps.

Thanks for the tip on marshies and pb.... I am going to have hubby set the trap tonight
