Massive storm - how to keep birds safe

I'm in Indiana and was dealing with this storm just tonight. Pulled the door off of my little white storage unit next to my house and blew it halfway across the yard and shattered all of the windows setting up next to my house so there is glass everywhere now. I was able to lock my chickens in tight but boy it was nasty!

I was in the path of the storm this afternoon, and the birds were hiding out under the house, so I just left them there. Very little damage here, and the chooks were just fine, barely wet !
