I am about to start building my coop and need it to support about 30 birds but I am on a tight budget.

Is Eucalyptus board an acceptable material for the walls and floor of my coop? If not will OSB hold up in the central Carolinas for 2-3 years?

I use OSB down in Central Florida and as long as I put a thick coat of paint on it it lasts a few years. Winters are mild, but it rains a lot and is very hot and humid during the other 10 months of the year. I also make sure I have all wood off the ground. Iv'e never seen eucalyptus board so I don't know if that is helpful.

Our coop floor is OSB, we painted it with Behr DeckOver. We used it on our pool deck and it's held up to the weather very well. Put it on good and thick with a paint pad.
