Hello, I have a turkey, "Thelma", who has suddenly lost use of her leg! She's about 10 years old and was given to us by someone about 5 years ago. She's generally been healthy, but has become increasingly inactive and "grouchy"...this morning, we noticed she's not using one of her legs, it just hangs/lays behind her, it doesn't appear broken. Any idea what could be causing this? Any cure possible? I hate to lose her, but I don't want her suffering either. Any help is greatly appreciated!! We have separated her from the others and provided her with her own food and water...until we find an answer. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC. It does sound like it may be injured possibly in the hip or leg. Since she is a large bird, it may be hard to treat her long term without her suffering. Chicken slings work well in smaller birds to get them upright to rest the legs. I would try to get vet care if possible in case splinting could help, or think about putting her down. Please also post on the Turkey thread for more experienced opinions: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/turkeys.20/
