Maximum height of cage for coturnix quails?

What is the maximum height for a coturnix quail cage in order to avoid having the quail jump onto the ceiling and breaking their necks?

If you’re doing an aviary type thing I’ve heard around 6ft but you could probably go higher.
If it’s a cage type setup around 2 feet so they can’t get enough momentum

I don't think there is a maximum. If you're looking at a minimum, I would say just tall enough for you to stand in. (For me, that's just over 5')

I had a set up that was 10 inches and one that was about 16. The 10 inches worked great, I didn't lose one. If they popcorned or flushed in the 16 inch pens, they could get too much momentum

my ground pens are all 7ft. tall, my above ground pens are all 16" in height. I have not had any problems with quail breaking their necks when flushing.....pheasants are another story, even at 7 feet, I have had pheasants flush an break their necks on the support beams for the top.
