This is my first time incubating eggs and I am so excited! I live in New Jersey and purchased 8 different sets of chicken eggs shipped from 8 different sellers on eBay. Some of the eggs were delayed in the mail, so I put the majority of the eggs in the incubators on April 19th and then added the last two kinds about 2 days later. Eggs which arrived earlier on were stored at an angle at 59-61 degrees F in my basement and turned one time a day before incubation started. I put 56 eggs in the Brinsea Ovation 56 EX incubator and 22 eggs in the Nurture Right 360 incubator. For the first 18 days, I've been keeping them at about 99.5 degrees F, 45% humidity.

Below are some details about the shipped eggs with breed info, number of eggs put in the incubator, number of "winners" from candling on Day 8 which seem to be working. I candled again on Day 13 and more seemed to be developing so this is a more conservative estimate. I also included the name and State of each vendor from eBay and the number of days from when the vendors shipped them out to when they arrived at my house. One note is that all 5 "Key West" eggs arrived with completely detached air cells to my house and were not ideally packaged.

These are the vendors' photos- from left to right and top to bottom:
Russian Spangled Orloff, Salmon Faverolles, Turkish sultan, Opal Cream Legbar, Blue Birchen & Birchen Marans, Icelandic, Key West, and the parents of the Ayam Cemani x Easter Egger cross.

I took this video of one of the Icelandic eggs when candling on Day 8 of incubation. The embryo can be seen moving inside the egg!

Removed the paper towels once they figured out what food was- they are on Hemp bedding which has been amazing so far. And they are eating away and growing so fast!
