May 20 hatch, no eggs yet. Tips?

I have 14 pullets across several breeds from an April 29 hatch. Many are laying, but have only started 2-3 weeks ago (the first one), and still some are not laying yet. We have more than 1 pullet of some breeds, and all of the same breed are not yet laying.

What breeds do you have?

these aren’t production birds, so they will likely take longer to lay. Of your list, we have Australorp, SF, EE, and SLW and GLW. Specifically, the ones from the April 29 hatch are SF, and GLW. Only one SF is laying (not the other), and I don’t think either GLWis laying yet.

Light is a factor too. Light is lessening, so it is possible some will wait until the days start getting longer. do you have electric in the coop? If so, you could add in a light on a timer to start their day earlier, giving them closer to 14 hours of light a day.

I’ll guess you’ll start having production closer to 24 weeks (might be longer though).

My April 8th pullets are now laying eggs, starting in mid September. I have a small light on from 4am to 8am in the coop, which helps too.
With a good diet, and separate oyster shell, and no other issues, they should start in production fairly soon.
My only experience with Ameraucanas wasn't great; the pullets started laying at eleven months of age.

My flock was hatched may 20th. No eggs yet. Anything I should be doing. They have a wonderful coop and nesting boxes. I have everything setup. Anyone have some tips?
I have several girls from May 22nd hatch, so far only ones that have laid eggs were the bantams. I'm not really expecting eggs for a few more weeks from the large fowl girls.

In the same boat here, May 28th hatch......one looks pretty reddy, but is not.
Just gotta wait.
