My "girls" are 7 months old now, just found out my Americauna is an Easter Egger, oh well, getting 7 eggs per day consistently. Let them out in the yard 3-4 days per week. They "rush" me when I come home, on the portcullis, want to come in the house to see what I've left on the floor of the kitchen! If I have a favorite it's my Rhode Isle Red- Belinda (blind-Linda) she has vision problems so we could always catch her and love on her. She comes up and stands on your foot, leans against your leg and waits to be stroked! I wish my kids were as excited to see me come home!

Welcome. My kids USED TO be that excited to see me.
Read a lot of the threads on here and you'll see some trends.
This time of year people that have had chickens for 2 years wonder why they aren't laying. Pullets lay like gang busters the first year and normally molt the second autumn and every year thereafter. They won't lay eggs then.
