McMurray Free Rare Breed Chick?

Last year I got a gold polish roo as my free 'rare exotic'. This year I won't know until early April.

It was easy to figure out last year, because he had the little crest of extra down on his head, so I knew he was polish. I just looked at the pics they had of baby polish until I found the one that matched him.

And that's mostly how you figure it out. You just compare your chick to the pics they have of baby chicks. It might require you to visit a LOT of individual links for each breed, but it's fairly easy to match up.

Called Murry Mcmurry today and now they say they have polish for 2014.
They don't usually update their website for the following year until the VERY END of 2013. Their sebastopol geese said sold out "for the year" until early January, when they began to put up actual hatching dates for 2014.

Although I was way ahead of the curve. I placed my order back in October, to be delivered in April. Lucky me though, because NOW in 2014, they aren't showing any delivery dates at all for white frizzle cochin!

I have been up on their site and haven't really been able to figure it out. My pictures aren't the best in the world. The baby has greenish legs, at times I think that maybe its a Buttercup, but then I don't. My curiosity is completely piqued.

Yeah, with the puffy cheeks, I would definitely say Easter Egger. I can't wait to get my surprise exotic chick next week. Last time it was a no brainer, since it was a Polish.
