Just thought I would put up some feedback, in this case good. Seems like the bad feedbacks are all that we remember so I thought some good feedbacks are necessary too.

Got my order of 25 Speckeled Sussex from McMurry on Sunday the 14th. Post office called at 9:45 AM, couldn't pick up until 3:30 PM. All chicks alive and well, and of this posting all are alive and NONE look lathargic or sick in any way.

Thank you McMurry.

Oh yea got 27 also.

I got mine from Mcmurry too - They did pretty good. I had 2 silkies die the day after they arrived, but that is to be expected. They can't all make it right?

They shorted me one st run Araucana but threw in an extra free buff Orp. so it worked out even in the end. I believe the short was caused by the free exotic - the english game hen chick looks exactly like the araucana chicks until about a week passes. I didn't know which one was the exotic until then.

In the end I was very happy with them & the health so far of my birds - no complaints - will use again if necessary.

We ordered 25 Red Stars from McMurray and they all got her fine and healthy and it has been almost 3 weeks and they are all doing wonderful!

Ordered 25 Cornish, got 25, all alive healthy, active and growing like little cows! Got my free rare and I think it's a Dark Brahama, but not sure. Would order from them again.

I split an order with a friend. She got polish - and they sent lots of extras - she only lost one.
I got 6 BLRW and 5 Mille Fleur d'Uccles - no extras and have lost none. They are two weeks old.

I ordered 78 chicks. Today I recieved 84 chicks. I had one DOA that was one that I ordered. I lost one this afternoon aswell (one I ordered). I have two bantam Frizzles wrapped in towels under heat lamps on my kitchen counter and I am "doctoring" them every 30 minutes. They went from looking good to down and on their backs very quickly but with some help they are peeping and looking 100% better than they did. I am pretty sure they will be okay. I havent figured out what the extras are or what the free exotic is. I think they threw in some fillers of things that we had ordered. Overall I am happy with them. The communications were great and it was nice to get the email letting me know that my chicks were shipped instead of waiting and wondering.

I love to see some positive feedback because as you say, we only get the negative sometimes!

Last week I received my first-ever mail order of chicks from McMurray (or anywhere else!), and had been having nightmares about going to the post office to pick up a box of dead chicks

Luckily I had the exact opposite experience. I split an order with a friend of Buff Orps, Blk Aussies, RIR, BR's and some EE (what they call Americanas). Everyone arrived alive, and all but one Blk Aus made it. She just failed to thrive, was runty and lethargic. Luckily, the "26th" chick they sent happened to be a Blk Aus so we broke even!

I'm very pleased with McMurray - and glad to hear that others have been as well!
