I've asked this before and I keep getting the same answer. Lol that my beautiful olive egger is a roo. The quick question is.. has anyone had a roo that started crowing after 16 weeks of age. All the other chicks I've had of different types started crowing early. This is my only experience with an olive egger. I'm scared I'm going to be stuck with a loud rooster soon. I don't want to have to send him to the freezer based only on him being a roo. But my town will not allow a rooster. I'm going to attach a few pics again. Thanks for everyone's input. Do I find him a home now? Or maybe she is a masculine hen? 😜

I have 25 week olds that don't crow yet. It's not unusual for some to take longer to start, especially if there are other roosters present.
Your boy will crow eventually, so if your town doesn't allow roosters, you should probably rehome him.

We have a young cockerel who waited until 23 weeks to crow.
