Hey, I'm Cami12, and I just got signed on to BYC! I just got a new silky and I could use some pointers on how to care for it when it gets older. She's the first and only one I have, so I really need help on how to care for her and the coop I should build for a single chicken. I desperately need help on anything you guys can offer me. I really want this one to last, please help me!

Unless you plan to raise her as a housepet, chickens do much better with a companion or two. Silkies especially tend to pile up and sleep in a corner, rather than on a roost like other breeds.
