This is our first round of mealworm in our farm. I have a mystery larvae to ID. We use old fashioned oats &corn meal as substrate. Potato or cabbage as water. I originally bought 100 mealworms, let them go to beetles, them eggs. Now we are to the small mealworm stage again.
I am wondering if it's a grain bug larvae? Its two tone grey with fine hairs. It currently about 1/4 inch long. They move pretty fast.
If any one can ID my mystery larvae. I am wondering how to remove them from the current farm? Can I just pick the out (will I eliminate them)? Do I need to remove the mealworms & put in fresh substrate?
