Hi all,
I would like to master the use of a sieve, (containing the beetles),in order to have a consistent worm size.

Could anyone advise me as to how often the sieve is moved to a new box and the use of a water source (carrot) for the beetle?
If the beetles lay eggs on the carrot, could they be eating their own eggs? What is the best substrate to use? I have oat bran and maize meal which falls thru quite quickly.

Hope this makes sense and hope someone can help, thanks,
Jacqui

Hi Jacqui, you'll have a better chance of getting a question like this answered if it's posted in the Mealworm Farming thread. Lots of folks subscribe to the thread and will be more likely to see your question there than if you post it elsewhere. Good luck!

Thanks for that Galo. Must have overlooked,Jacqui
