A tip of the OP out anyone else with a mean broody...
Mine are well trained to my cchere chicky" call and the sound of the meal worm bag. Yesterday I took out a pan of scrambled eggs becuase I had a lot of guinea eggs piling up in the fridge. She came to my call to get her treat. Score 1 for no mean broody in the coop. Today I spotted the bag of meal worms, I had thought I ran out. I tried the call with some scartch first and she resisted so i grabbed the bag and started shaking it. Score 2 for no boody in the coop. 2 days in a row i have been able to check the nest and remove eggs with out fighting her. And it gets her to take an extra break for food and water so i can at least watch to see how she is doing.
