Mean Girl

One of my hens was extra mean today. I let the girls out for their free time and she tried to mate with the other hens several times. Then she charged my 7 yr old son and started pecking his legs.

I know she is definatly a hen and not a rooster, so what gives with her? She is usually a good hen.

someone might have been trying to change the pecking order and she had to put everyone in line? Our rooster always puts the hens in order, would be the same with a lead hen i would suppose, our hens are so sweet who knows is lead

Well... My evil rooster Roosty-Roo acts like that. Although, he IS a rooster ha ha. But not the nice kind...

I hope your son's OK. She should stop... hopefully.....
