Hi. I have 3 reds who are about a month old. They are now fully feathered and I've put them out in the coop. I've decided that 3 is just not enough and I'd like to get some more.
My question is, when I get the new kids and once they are old enough to go outside, do you think I can put them all together if I do it at night? The ones I have now should be about 9 or 10 weeks old by then.
I have experience with chickens and I have some who are 6 years old (they are not in with the new ones). They are extremely intolerant of new girls, to the point of bloody chickens. I hate that. I am just wondering if they do this from birth or if there's a certain age that they start the nastiness.
Thanks!
