mean rir rooster

hi... i have a rhode island red rooster picking inter smaller girls in my flock. i can't stand to shut them up in the coop knowing he will pick on them. i have someone who will take him soon, but it may be a couple days or a week. what can i do in the meantime?

Do you have a dog crate or something you can keep him in or some other way to separate him? It's that or leave things as they are until he goes away.

Pull him out and keep him separated. Temporary pens are easy to make out of almost any scraps of wire or wood, or as bobbi-j mentioned a dog crate.
