I have a rooster that I hatched myself. He was fine until this last weekend. He just started "servicing" my hens so I think he is getting protective. Any suggestions on giving my rooter an attitude adjustment nicely?

I've swatted my White Leghorn with the broom across the coop a few times. Now he sees me pickup the broom he heads outside to the run

If he is acting like he is going to attack you or any other human, you have to dominate him try forcing him to the ground with your hand hold him to the ground until he calms down. You will have to do this every time he even looks sideways at you. If you are saying he is being to aggressive with the hens he should grow out of it with age. If he doesn't in either case freezer camp! Luck to ya!
